When we where in our hometown ,we went to the village where my father-in law was born.
Many cousins of my husband live there and they are farmers. They breed animals and cultivate vineyards.
His cousin and his wife in the basement. Here are guarding their wine.
You can look at the big old barrel and hung on the ceiling several objects.
Left in the photo my father in law and his nephew.
the clay pot is from Second World War....
Objects that I do not know how they used them .....
These objects know how they used ... I think all of you ....
We bought wine and they are very happy for our visit
Have a nice day !!
Hello Olympia,
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήThis is a lovely post. How the cellar, reminds me of the old country cellars that are around me here in the country. We can have a lovely day in the country tasting the wine and eating some good food.
I think the terracotta jar, was possibly used for olives.! i am not sure.
we have them here in Portugal too.
Thanks for sharing Olympia.

Hello Olympia! It looks like you had a happy day! I love old tools and have a lot of respect for them as people were working with them for many years in good and bad hours trying to make a living. Wonderful! Thank you! Christa
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήCIAO Olympia! What a beautiful cellar! All the tools seem so old. I bet they would tell lots of stories, if they cold talk. I love the beams on the ceiling and I like your relatives: they seem very nice!
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήCan I have a glass of the delicious wine you bought?
Good night!

Very interesting to see the old tools. They have had many hours of use in years gone by. Beautiful old clay pot.

Dearest Olympia,
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήGuess there is no bigger pleasure than visiting a parent. You gave happiness to your husband's Dad. Makes you feel good for having done this and on top, bringing home some wine from his cousin is a special bonus too.
Is his mother still alive? And your parents? My parents are still alive, far away 7,000 km from Georgia, in The Netherlands. Mom is having her 5th year now kidney dialysis. So each day is a gift!
Love to you,
Mariette
Dear Olympia - lovely post. These old wooden tools and barrels are just the short of thing that people love to collect today and hang on their walls.
