  1. Lovely Olympia - how delicious to have a genuine Greek receipe from an authentic source. I have some spicy tomato flavoured cooked mince beef already in the fridge, so tomorrow I shall make your dish. Thank you so much for sharing it with us♥

  2. Olympia... I have a question:"How do I contact Mr.Zorba?" as I really, really have wanted to dance the Sirtaki with him, on a beach, at midnight, with my feet in the water and a floating skirt floating to the sound of bouzuki, for all my life!

After the "Sirtaki moment" I would love to walk to a table (like the one in Shirley Valentine) by the sea, and eat some of your Moussaka (I put cinnamon in mine, when I make it) drink some ice cold retzina and finish the meal with a small glass or two of Metaxa!

Lovely recipe, Olympia. Moussaka is THE Greek dish!

    CIAO!

  4. Dearest Olympia,

That was a yummy and great post with clear photos and step-by-step explanation. I had to laugh at the oh so familiar word 'aubergines' as we called them back home in The Netherlands and here they are called egg plants. Doesn't make sense! For me they are aubergines and that reflects far more their shiny, puple presence. Don't you think so?
    Love to you,
    Mariette
